About Sylvia Tran
I am a Director of Data, and Sr. Data Scientist/ ML Engineer, specializing in the development of AI/ML solutions for business problems. My experience includes providing data-driven solutions to companies in the form of business analytics, engineering, and machine learning (AI).In my previous career, I was a Director, Vice President at Wells Fargo Capital Finance LLC and bring with me 10+ years of experience in business strategies, risk analysis, financial forecasting, and KPI analysis to my work in data. There I gained experience working with growing companies, private equity firms, and investment companies on various mergers and acquisitions.I hold a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from UCLA, and an M.S. in Analytics from Georgia Tech.I\'m professionally passionate about supporting women in STEM by hosting educational workshops, panels, and talks. I believe it important to play an active role in building a safe community that fosters professional development and growth for both women, and other underrepresented groups or minorities in tech.
