About Sylvia Medina
I am an Environmental Engineer and retired from North Wind Group that I found and sold. At the time of sale, NW reached $125M per year. I sold my business to Cook Inlet Region Incorporated (CIRI) out of Alaska.Currently I am writing children\'s books about animal preservation through the Green Kids Club Our books can be found at Amazon as well as stores and zoo’s in the US. We support various non-profit and NGO’s by writing and co-authoring children’s books with groups like Elephants without Borders, Blood Lions, Saving the Survivor, Orang Utan Republik, Cougar Fund, Rhino Orphanage, and Saving Elephant Foundation. We won the top 2025 Indie Award for our book, Matriarchs of Yellowstone for best Children’s Non-Fiction I co-authored with Douglas W. Smith. Doug was one of the main wolf biologists who brought the wolves back to Yellowstone. I am so proud to be working with him We won the Book Excellence Award for our book, A Tail of Three Lions - whom we co-authored with Ian Michler of Blood Lions. We have also won a Tillwig Awards for Children\'s Book - Molelo the Fire Elephant whom we co-authored with Kelly Landen, co-founder of Elephants Without Borders. Other awards include Creative Child for our book - Grizzly 399 where we worked with esteemed wildlife photographer, Thomas Mangelsen. I am working with Frank Saperstein and Rita Street in a middle school book about Victor (from Victor-Y). We are also promoting a new animation - Elee the Mindful Elephant. We license our brands as well. We have established a Joint-Venture with YiYa International to animate some of the Green Kids Club stories we have written. A side area includes making jewelry. I have also developed myself into a silversmith. I sell my designs through my homepage and my Etsy Shop. I provide consulting services for engineering companies to help sell their businesses. I am founder of Love the Wild Foundation which promotes environmental education. We are supporting a Kenyan village scholarships for children in need. We give books to children around the world and provide funds for field trips for children. In my free time I spend time with my family. I love dogs and am the founder of the Snake River Animal Shelter. I have went through a mentorship program with Tin Man Lee in Wildlife Photography. This has been a new journey - and because I love animals and the outdoors I find myself going out to the wild to try and get photos of beautiful animals -
