As the Director of Development, Major Gifts, I am responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding high-net-worth donors capable of making contributions ranging from $100K to $4.9M. In close collaboration with the Dean of the School of Social Sciences, I lead the planning, organization, and execution of major gift fundraising strategies to support the school’s strategic priorities.I work directly with department chairs, key alums and community prospects, and volunteers to create and implement tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans. This includes crafting compelling written proposals, comprehensive fundraising strategies, and other materials to deepen donor engagement and drive philanthropic support.My role also involves partnering with colleagues in gift planning, prospect research, constituent relations, and development communications to ensure that all donor interactions are managed consistently and effectively. By leveraging best practices across teams, I help position the school for long-term success in securing major gifts.
