A strong corporate real estate executive, earned as a result of the completion of successful retail and mixed use projects that have achieved/over-achieved on financial projections. 25 years of corporate real estate and land development experience, resulting in the successful completion of over 20 million square feet of building construction and related improvements across Canada. Held leadership roles with acquisitions & developments by actively managing projects starting from site selection and following them through to construction start, including hiring and directing teams of brokers, lawyers, architects and consultants. Experienced in the negotiation of real estate documents (i.e. Agreements of Purchase and Sale, Leases and Renewals, Operating Agreements, etc) and related clauses (i.e. indemnities, development restrictions, etc). Established a track record of using an entrepreneurial, “thinking outside the box” approach to maximize investment returns. Developed and followed through on corporate real estate development strategies, capital plans and project schedules. Specialties: Thorough understanding of financial development proformas, legal real estate documents and plans/specifications. Comprehensive knowledge of governmental and regulatory framework, commercial and retail market drivers, industry trends. Strong knowledge of all aspects of land development (i.e. Planning, Engineering, Market Analysis, etc) for residential, commercial and mixed use projects. Fluent in French and English.
