ABOUT SYED ZAIDI
Feel free to reach me at s••••••••@gmail.com. I am fully authorized to work in the United States. Hello! I am a Carnegie Mellon University undergraduate student studying Mathematics and Computer Science, passionate about leveraging quantitative analysis, machine learning techniques and software development to solve complex problems. I am passionate about building intelligent systems that bridge machine learning research, computational biology, and software engineering. At CMU’s Wu Lab, I apply statistical modeling, unsupervised clustering, and single-cell RNA-seq analysis to uncover disease mechanisms, developing end-to-end ML pipelines in Python, R, and Seurat that improved cluster accuracy by 25% and identified new cell subtypes for biological validation. As a Software Development Intern at Psynautics, I designed scalable cross-platform applications using React Native, MongoDB, and EEG data integration, leveraging NLP-based user-matching to enhance engagement and retention. My prior work at Weill Cornell Medicine involved image analysis pipelines to analyze datasets of 1300+ terminals composited, recognized nationally by the American Academy of Neurology.I am especially interested in the intersection of data analysis, computational biology, and product-oriented machine learning. I thrive in interdisciplinary teams that combine data science, software engineering, and human-centered design to create measurable impact.Technical areas: Python | R | C++| JavaScript | React Native | TensorFlow | NLP | Computer Vision | Seurat | Statistical Modeling | MongoDB | Firebase | Flask | Git
