ABOUT SYED FAIZAN MEHDI
As a physician-scientist with over a decade of experience in translational and clinical research, I specialize in metabolic disorders, immunology, and inflammation. Currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, I work under the mentorship of Dr. Jesse Roth. My research has focused on diabetes, endocrine disorders, melanocortin pathways, GLP-1, and the broader interplay between the endocrine system and sepsis. In parallel with my research career, I am pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Healthcare Administration. This academic journey is expanding my perspective on how healthcare systems operate, are managed, and can be improved to better serve both patients and providers. I’m especially interested in the intersection of research, policy, and healthcare operations—striving to bridge scientific innovation with effective healthcare delivery models.
