ABOUT SYDONA ANDERSON-FERNANDEZ

I am, a experienced real estate broker working the Albuquerque market, having practiced over twenty-five plus years in a variety of projects. Raised and educated in San Juan County, New Mexico, my oldest son is the Sheriff now. MY professional experience includes having owned my own real estate company in San Juan County for many years, serving on the San Juan County Board of Realtors as a director of numerous board committees. I am, a graduate of the Realtors Association of New Mexico (RANM) Leadership Class of 2007, and the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors (GAAR) Leadership Class of 2011. I have, also completed several training courses, including Ninja Selling. I also,served 2 years as an Ombudsman for GAAR. I am, serving as Vice President, for the Saint Andrew\'s Scottish Society, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have some new designations. Certified International Property Specialist, New Mexico Council of Exchangers, Military Relocation Professional and Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist. An active member of NMAR, I have been a Silver Donor to the Realtor Political Action Committee (RPAC), an alliance working toward advancing political candidates and public policies that protect and promote home ownership and property investment. I have worked with several new home builders, and projects with the Animas Land and Water Company, one of San Juan County’s largest private landowners. I have sold timeshares with Wyndham, and Palm Harbour Homes. I worked with Christopher Webster –Sotheby’s and Dreamcatcher Real Estate Co. in Taos. And worked with the Hopi-Navajo Relocation Program. A former member of the Board of Directors for the San Juan Symphony, My other activities include membership in Kiwanis of Rio del Sol and serving as historian for the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member. I am, serving as Vice President, for the Saint Andrew\'s Scottish Society, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have also been an Ombudsman for GAAR. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Peter, and my very large extended family. I enjoy gardening, hiking, paddle boarding, and dancing, cooking. Also hanging out with friends, having a good time and laughing! HOT BUTTON: traveling domestically or internationally. Oh, yes, another career add. For fun and creativity, I have become an actress, doing mostly background work, taking classes and joined the Background Actors of New Mexico, I have already acted in some of the series being filmed in Albuquerque and surrounding areas. I enjoy this very much. And now as of 2024 achieved my SAG_AFTRA card.
