About Sydney Post

Second-year Consumer Behavior & Marketplace Studies student, future marketing professional. My interest in what influences people’s choices brought me to the School of Human Ecology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where I’m pursuing my B.S. in Consumer Behavior and Marketplace Studies, along with a Certificate in Entrepreneurship.Last semester, I explored how brand messaging, product design, and customer experience affect decision-making. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned so far is how much thought and intention goes into creating connections between consumers and brands. I’ve enjoyed applying this through hands-on roles like planning events, managing social media accounts, and working directly with clients and customers.This year, I’ve built skills in social media marketing, event coordination, customer service, and retail operations. I’ve also worked with tools like Canva, Photoshop, Google Workspace, and Facebook Business Suite. I continue to grow in areas like branding, communication, and project management. Next year, I hope to secure a marketing or brand strategy internship where I can gain real-world experience and expand my creative and business skills.
