About Sydney Haylor

Senior at the University of Dayton studying marketing. In August 2022 I accepted a position as Marketing and Social Media Assistant for the University of Dayton School of Engineering. Within this position I have creative freedom to design and post on four School of Engineering platforms. Keeping followers up to date on news, awards, faculty and the student body using various marketing skills and tools. Also within this position I am able to post new content on the School of Engineering website as well as updating old content. I am very grateful to be able to work in this position because I am given various experiences in putting my creative, and innovative skills to the test under my school name. Over the past two years I have held positions in the sales industry. I have gained many skills on how to market, sell a brand, collaborate with coworkers and build relationships with clientele. These positions skills I hope to put towards an internship in Summer 2023 which can help me grow professionally, personally and as a student. Currently I hold the position of New Member Development Director in Women in Business at UD. Through this position I am in charge of planning and presenting a new member process. Conducting a six weeks process that acclimates 30 new members into the organization. I teach them professional skills, help build resumes, provide activities to help build relationships with each other, and plan 5 events to meet current members in Women in Business. I am also in the sorority of Zeta Tau Alpha on campus in which I have been apart of various creative committee positions. For example Bid Day and Sheet Sign Committee.
