ABOUT SYDNEY HANNAH RENFRO

Sydney Hannah Renfro was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating from the Walker School in May 2022. As a senior at Arizona State University, she anticipates graduating from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in sports journalism, with an interest in public relations, and a minor in public service and public policy. During her four years in Phoenix, she has gained ample professional experience serving in roles on and off campus. Since being on campus, Sydney Hannah has gained insightful first-hand experience in marketing, graphic design, communications, and civics through professional opportunities. Additionally, she has experience in research, digital audiences, public relations, and editing through her coursework at the Cronkite School. She has also been involved in numerous student organizations and gained memorable experiences serving as a leader in each. Through these experiences, Sydney Hannah has developed a keen awareness of how to use her resources and connections to empower others, particularly those in marginalized and underserved communities. As she learns more during my academic and professional journey, Sydney Hannah remains passionate about giving a voice to the voiceless, storytelling, social justice, civic engagement, and being a leader amongst her peers.​​ She is eager to serve the youth and peers in my community and give back to a diverse demographic of people and hopes to continue to serve and impact the communities around her through the work she creates and the stories she shares.
