Sydney Porter is a rising junior at Howard University majoring in International Business, with a strong interest in the intersection of global strategy, international law, and cross-cultural communication. Her academic foundation spans finance, accounting, marketing, international relations, and business law, equipping her with the analytical tools and global perspective needed to tackle complex challenges in today’s interconnected economy.This past summer, Sydney interned at CGI Federal as a Business Analyst in tech consulting, where she supported high-impact client engagements and gained firsthand exposure to the legal and strategic dimensions of emerging technologies. The experience sparked a deeper interest in tech law. She’s excited to explore this evolving space further, with plans to pursue a career in international legal strategy or business consulting.Sydney remains curious about the broader consulting landscape and values opportunities that allow her to see both sides of global business deals before heading to law school. Her proficiency in Mandarin Chinese also supports her long-term interest in working across borders, especially in Asian markets where business, law, and culture are deeply intertwined. Ultimately, her goal is to help organizations grow globally while remaining compliant, competitive, and socially responsible.
