About Sydney Wender

Sydney graduated Magna Cum Laude (3.85 GPA) with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, Minor in Marketing, in May of 2023 from American University in Washington, D.C.At American, Sydney was a Division 1 student-athlete on the women’s lacrosse team. Sydney was one of 12 students from American to be inducted into the national honor society for journalism and mass communication. The society recognizes the top 10 percent of the country’s journalism and communication students, based on GPA and academic achievements. In addition, Sydney earned a top 25 GPA award among all student-athletes, as well as being named to Dean’s List. She also received the NCAA’s recognition by being named to both The Patriot League and IWLCA academic honor rolls.In June of 2022, Sydney was hired to be a Summer Client Engagement Intern at VMLY & R on the Pfizer Comirnaty account. She was asked to continue interning remotely throughout her senior year, successfully balancing her time with work, academics and athletics. Sydney has worked well with various team members and has helped with delegating various project needs. In March of 2023, Sydney was asked to come on as a full-time employee and started as an Associate Account Manager in August 2023 on the Pfizer HCP Penbraya account. In June of 2024 Sydney was promoted to Account Manager. In June 2025, Sydney was promoted to Senior account manager.
