About Sydney Oconnell
As a Program Coordinator with Innovations for Poverty Action’s Peace and Recovery team, I help build evidence on what works to prevent, mitigate, respond to, and recover from violence, conflict, and humanitarian crises. Alongside my previous experience in humanitarian programming and climate policy, I hold a B.A. in Foreign Affairs and a B.A. in Global Public Health from the University of Virginia. At UVA, I was an editor for the Virginia Journal of International Affairs; a writer, editor, and Editor in Chief for the Virginia Journal of Bioethics; and the Chair of the Outreach Committee for the UVA Center for Global Health Equity Student Advisory Board.
