As an Advisory Board member at the Johnson STEM Activity Center (JSAC) since my first year of high school, I had the invaluable opportunity to immerse myself in STEM education. Throughout my experience, I actively contributed to the center\'s mission of promoting STEM literacy in underserved communities and fostering a passion for these fields among students, specifically students of color.As the youngest advisory board member, I have worked closely with a team of experienced educators and professionals to develop and implement engaging educational programs such as the upcoming internship program. I assisted in designing and organizing open house events, forged relationships with other STEM-serving organizations, and managed social media marketing that aimed to enhance students\' understanding and interest in STEM subjects. Additionally, I play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of JSAC. This entails assisting with administrative tasks, managing departmental inventory and files, and ensuring visitors have an immersive and engaging experience by showcasing the Center\'s offerings. Notably, I\'ve managed files, including creating an inventory list and facilitating the implementation of Super Soakers, created by the program\'s founder, into the Smithsonian Museum. Additionally, I oversee archival documents and films related to Lonnie Johnson\'s inventions.Furthermore, I had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse group of professionals and educators, exchanging ideas, and implementing innovative projects such as the internship program for 2024. The supportive and collaborative environment at JSAC provided an ideal platform for personal and professional growth. I honed my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, all necessary for my desire to be a healthcare professional.
