About Sydney Kannan
I am a Kinesiology student at James Madison University, set to graduate in May 2024. I am currently a sports medicine intern at James Madison University, where I observe and assist the athletic trainers in the training room and on the field. I have a passion for exercise science and human movement. I have gained valuable knowledge and skills in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, injury prevention, and rehabilitation through my coursework and internship.In addition to my sports medicine internship, I have been working as an information technology assistant at JMU since August 2022. I am responsible for managing classrooms and communicating with professors regarding any technical issues. I have developed strong problem-solving, customer service, and teamwork skills in this role. I also work as a waitress at Brocks Riverside Grill, where I service guests with food and beverage requests in a timely, professional, and friendly manner. I have learned how to upsell products and compete with my colleagues to achieve sales goals. I am motivated to pursue a career in medical device or pharmaceutical sales where I can apply my knowledge, skills, and interests. I believe I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to any organization, as well as a collaborative and supportive attitude.
