About Sydney Hardy

I am currently serving as the Youth Programs Coordinator at King County Housing Authority, where I support out-of-school time programming, professional development, and youth violence prevention efforts. With a strong passion for youth development, I am dedicated to addressing the disparities faced by youth, particularly those from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. I believe it is essential to uplift the voices of our most vulnerable populations, providing a foundation that empowers communities to unite and offer accessible, equitable resources and opportunities for youth.Previously, I was the ELO Operations Manager at Greentrike, where I became certified by the David P. Weikart Center, specializing in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and improving program quality for expanded learning opportunities. Since joining in September 2022, I have contributed to a 40% increase in learning opportunities across several programs and helped establish a partnership with the Tacoma Housing Authority to offer free, enriching programs to local youth. I have also played a pivotal role in the Summer Teen Late Nights initiative, addressing youth violence in Pierce County.I hold undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Psychology from Washington State University and completed my Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership at Seattle University in 2023. My goal is to lead initiatives that drive social change, amplify youth voices, and strengthen youth engagement.
