ABOUT SYDNEY GERTZ
I am passionate about developing the infrastructure of the United States and abroad. I enjoy seeing a project come into fruition, that directly impacts the communities in which we live. I am currently a practicing EIT in the Washington D.C. metro area. My practice focuses on transit design specifically in rail and BRT all across the US. I also am the Vice President and Program Chair for the Washington Area Railway Engineering Society (WARES). If you or your company are interested in speaking at WARES event please reach out to me through my contact information. I am a graduate of The Ohio State University. I finished my bachelors degree in civil engineering with a global option. I have interned three different times with The Ohio Department of Transportation, twice with Corna Kokosing Construction Company, and once with Geotechical Consultants Inc. I was a Resident Adviser on campus for 3 years, I was a Ohio State college of engineering ambassador, a Campus Transit Lab undergraduate researcher, and a grader for the college of engineering.Outside of work I am involved with Passion City Church in DC and I love getting a workout in outside and sipping coffee. I have spent 2 months studying Spanish in Costa Rica. I love their rich culture, language and pace of life. One of my goals in the future is to do international engineering ministry in Latin America to develop their infrastructure and share the Gospel.Email: s••••••••@gmail.com
