Hi, I’m Sydney! ‍ Digital Media Management Certificate Masters of Sports Leadership at Northeastern University ‍ Graduate of Hobart and William Smith College - Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Rhetoric Former dual sport athlete - field hockey & ice hockey With an entrepreneurial mindset, I ventured into the business realm by co-founding Finger Lakes Flame during the summer of 2022 - a gourmet, limited-production hot sauce company based in the Finger Lakes Region. This experience honed my skills in customer discovery, business model creation, leadership, pitching, public speaking, marketing, business finances, and collaborative teamwork. Additionally, I’ve developed transferable skills through roles in customer service at Lowes, Three Brothers Winery, and Cherry Farm Creamery. These jobs enhanced my abilities in communication, problem-solving, adaptability, teamwork, time management, organization, conflict resolution, and sales. ‍ Currently exploring career opportunities post-graduation, I am passionate about writing and want to learn more about content creation, particularly within the sports industry. I bring a strong work ethic and an interest in sports communication, which I am eager to contribute to through an internship or entry-level positions. My academic background includes a strong foundation in written communication, editing, fact-checking, grammar, and multimedia content creation, such as game summaries, features, editorials, and video essays. I’m open to connecting and discussing opportunities across various industries to expand my knowledge and skills.
