About Swetha Poddar
I’m the Co-Founder of Elai Platter: a clean label, culturally rooted food brand bringing integrity, tradition, and the real taste of South. We’re bridging the gap between time-tested food wisdom and today’s wellness-conscious world. That means sourcing locally, honouring seasonal rhythms, and saying no to shortcuts. We currently work with farmers across three towns in South India and partner with women from these communities to bring our products to life.At the heart of Elai is a question:Can packaged food still feel personal, nourishing, and deeply trustworthy?That question is rooted in a different kind of leadership- my time as Chief Operating Officer of the Poddar household, managing a multi-generational (and multi-species!) home taught me more about logistics, emotional intelligence, and food systems than any corporate job could.It’s where I learnt crisis management (tantrums!), resourcefulness (budgets!), and creativity (leftovers!)- all grounded in empathy and built to last.We’re just getting started, but the vision is clear: to reimagine traditional food with honesty and soul, one product at a time.

My focus is on solving the growing trust gap in packaged foods by building a values driven brand that empowers farmers and women led communities at its core.We’re reimagining the traditional foods industry with a community first, slow food approach while bringing integrity, storytelling, and authenticity back to the plate.We\'re just getting started, and I’m excited to build something meaningful, brick by brick.
