ABOUT SWETA KALE

As an accomplished engineering leader over 25+ years in the technology industry, I bring strong expertise in building products, technology, and global teams with high level of trust and customer first approach. As Senior Director of Engineering at NetApp, I lead the integration of NetApp’s Cloud native Kubernetes based first party software defined storage solution with major Cloud platforms in Google and Microsoft. With GenAI being the center of excellence for a strong DevOps life cycle, I lead GenAI initiatives at NetApp to improve faster development times, better code quality and more time for innovation, of course without compromising security and data privacy of the solutions. In my earlier roles at NetApp, my responsibility was building quality data center solutions as part of the ONTAP WAFL filesystem, RAID, Storage, High Availability and Disaster Recovery technologies. My strengths in building strategy and execution and leading high performing and diverse teams empowers me to foster innovation and customer focused solutions. Prior to NetApp, I grew through the ranks from an individual contributor to Senior manager role in the wireless industry at Aruba Networks, Meru Networks, and other companies.My focus to promote Women in Tech has given me the opportunity to mentor many engineering women and allies. I have been a great contributor in the Advisory role for Thrive-Wise, a non-profit focused on Women+ in Science and Engineering.
