I am Public Health Professional, presently working as a State Consultant, Large Scale Staple Food Fortification in Karnataka Health Promotion Trust (KHPT) for the States Punjab & Haryana. The role involves Industries (Wheat Flour, Oil and Milk) engagement by providing sensitisation & technical trainings on Fortification, Government Engagement by providing capacity building & awareness trainings of State & District Officials and Community Engagement by participating in Eat Right Campaigns. Worked as a District Lead in Delhi under POSHAN Abhiyaan which was a joint initiative of TATA- Trusts & Ministry of Women & Child Development. The job role involved Implementation and Monitoring of different components of Poshan Abhiyaan i.e. Incremental Learning Approach, Convergence, Common Application Software and Community Based Events. Also held the position of a State Project Officer- Drugs Supply & Monitoring at National Health Mission (NHM), Gujarat where I was primarily assigned with Preparation of Programme Implementation Plan and Inspection and Monitoring of various programmes under NHM.

   Working as a State Consultant- Large Scale Staple Food Fortification for Punjab and Haryana.* Ensure planning, implementation, monitoring and supervision of project activities in assigned states.* Facilitate the development and implementation of advocacy strategy.* Regular follow up with States and preparation of periodic reports on the status of implementation in the assigned states.* Analyse and collate data for preparation of quarterly and annual reports regarding progress of the Fortification Project in the state.* Organise interdepartmental meetings for sensitization and capacity building of different stakeholders and government counterparts in the assigned States.* Organise trainings of Food Safety Officers and Designated Officers from Food & Drugs Administration Department on Food Fortification & quality evaluation of fortified food.* Explore and develop plans for roll out of fortified wheat flour through the Public Distribution System (PDS) in the assigned state.* Organise state level advocacy meetings, conferences, workshop, consultations and sensitization events for state level & district level government officials of the Food & Drug Administration Department and other safety net programs like ICDS & mid-day meal.* Organise Divisional Sensitisation workshops for Food Business Operators (FBOs) regarding Large Scale Staple Food Fortification in the assigned states.* Collect, compile and maintain districts wise data of fortifying industries in the monitoring sheets of assigned states.* Collect samples of fortified staples to undergo lab tests for quantitative analysis of Oil & Milk Samples in NABL accredited Laboratories.* Guiding Food Business Operators on Packaging & labelling regulations and Process of Endorsements as per FSSAI guidelines.* Participation in Eat Right Campaigns and other platforms to promote Government of India approved Fortification logo “+F” as the mark & symbol of complete nutrition & healthy living.
