With a reputation for delivering speed, margin, and sustainable growth in global retail, I joined the company as chief architect in charge of turning around the product department, during which time I cut headcount from 160 to 115 while prioritizing team building and professional growth roadmaps. Reporting to the CEO and board, I began by balancing funding requirements with retail constraints, driving consolidation, and addressing major shifts in the supply chain. Accountable for product P&L, I partnered in delivering a $45M+ EBITDA increase by restructuring costs, improving gross margin, and optimizing inventory and SG & A management. I helped improve EBIT by an additional 10% after scaling eCommerce operations and enhancing digital profitability. To expand our gross margin by +200bps, I shifted the sourcing strategy during COVID, mitigated tariffs and exposure, and enhanced AUR without eroding perceived customer value. Zeroing in on restructuring SG & A (selling, general, and administrative expenses) and right-sizing inventory, I unlocked $15M+ in working capital and improved inventory turn from 2.5x to 3.4x. By increasing inventory turns and optimizing channel mix, we generated an additional $25M+ in working capital. Spearheading acquisition and integration of a regional brand, we quickly expanded our strategic footprint and realized $15M in operational savings.
