Hi, I’m Swathi!I began my journey as a Digital Media trainee covering real-time impactful stories which got published in national newspapers. I later worked in the corporate as a content writer mainly focusing on content strategy, SEO, journalism, and AI/LLM content evaluation. I have worked on large-scale AI projects evaluating content quality and performance, while also developing high-ranking digital content and research-driven editorial work.During my Master’s degree, I conducted an immersive qualitative field study on maternal care practices among tribal women in the forest region of Wayanad, India. Grounded in Phenomenology and supported by Thematic Analysis, the research examined indigenous knowledge, gendered health experiences, and structural inequalities, positioning health as a deeply social process rather than a purely biomedical one. This inspired me to read and always dive deeper into sociocultural dimensions of health.After nearly five years of rich corporate experience, I chose to take a decisive step toward pursuing research more seriously, building on the insights and questions that emerged through my professional journey. I have started working as a research assistant and currently working on a research project on Health Communication at Amrita University.Methodologically, I am grounded in Qualitative Data Analysis and interpretive social research. My research toolkit includes Digital Ethnography, Grounded Theory approaches, and software-assisted analysis using NVivo and MAXQDA to explore narratives, embodiment, and marginalised voices across online and offline spaces.My current research interests focus on health communication, gendered experiences and psychosocial wellbeing. I am particularly interested in exploring how women make sense of their bodies under pressure, how different organisational cultures contribute to stress and sedentary routines, and how communication practices within workplaces may fail to recognise women’s hormonal and mental health needs.I am currently exploring PhD opportunities in the UK and Europe, aiming to pursue ethically grounded research connecting digital sociology, health communication, and lived experience.Let’s get in touch 🤝Contact: s••••••••@gmail.comInstagram: swat_dreamer
