Under my leadership Tata Steel has moved from a risk maturity score of 2.5 in 2016 to 4.68, on a scale of 5 in 2021 in risk maturity assessments conducted by third party. Several accolades like India risk management awards (5 years in a row ) and Golden Peacock award for Risk management has come Tata Steel\'s way.in my role as Chief Procurement, was responsible for managing a spend of approx. 4 BnUS $ for Raw material and procured consumables ( approx. 60% of the total spend) Services and MRO Buy. was responsible for carrying out Synergy buy with group Subsidiaries and geographical de risking through identification of new sources using value in use tool. Use of Reverse auction for key bulk commodities like Refractories and Vendor managed inventories for better security of supplies.
