   Teams Message Search and Whole Page Relevance : Leading a cross geo team across India, Europe and US on improving ranking quality in Microsoft Teams search. Usage of Teams have simply exploded exponentially. As data (messages, files, People connection graphs, meetings etc.) shared on Teams grows, so does the importance of having a fast, relevant and engaging Search experience. Having great fun experimenting and applying Machine Learning for problems like message ranking, Whole Page Ranking. The Whole Page Ranking team works on optimizing the entire Search Result Page across different Microsoft Search endpoints like Outlook, SharePoint and Teams. Thanks to the awesome team and support from Microsoft leadership, the last few years have been especially fun with a lot of learning and growth for me.2. During 20••••21 I lead teams on Enterprise Search Relevance. Working on different aspects of search like improving the Question Answering (QnA) engine, ranking of documents, enterprise query classification, AutoSuggestion of queries, Related Searches etc. using various ML techniques. Compliance is an important aspect in enterprise world which offer new challenges to traditional ML approachesTill mid 2019 me and my team were working on the full Relevance stack as well as Rich experiences for Local Search for UnitedKingdom,Australia and India markets. We also work closely with our sister team on some of the other European markets as well.Personally I have been focusing on pushing the boundaries on ranking techniques and machine learning algorithms for the past few years and have individually shipped out multiple ranking improvements for these markets.In addition to ranking of local results, I have also started leading the Query Understanding team, working on different flavours of Classifiers and Query Parsers.
