About Swarna Karuppiah
A perpetual learner.Passionate about value creation and addition, my ongoing journey with the UC Berkeley community has given me an avenue to develop a global fluency in strategic thinking through experiential learning and develop a strong foundation in management.Over 8 years of my journey in developing Building-as-a-Product through Art of Structural Engineering, and cross-functional collaboration, my experiences as a Consultant Structural Engineer gave me the conviction to lead the efforts for sustainable building designs and also evaluate opportunities for digital technological transformation in the construction sector and capital excellence. I advocate for green building efforts through my involvement in SE2050 commitment as part of American Society of Civil Engineers and UT Austin\'s ArchE community. My schools and internship role at GMS Structural Consultancy at NYC helped me to further explore my field of AEC (Architectural, Engineering & Construction) and currently, Datum has provided me the opportunity to work on a range of challenging projects from educational facilities, city hall, museums to various other commercial spaces with greatly experienced professionals.
