ABOUT SWARAJ PARATE

Swaraj Parate is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from VIT Chennai and a passionate car enthusiast with proven expertise in product development and engineering management. During his college years, he showcased strong leadership as the Vehicle Dynamics Lead for an international FSAE team, guiding a team of engineers to design, test, and innovate at a global stage.Post-graduation, Swaraj began his professional journey with Mahindra & Mahindra as a Product Development Engineer, where he played a key role in developing wiring harnesses for several of Mahindra’s most successful models including the XUV 700, XUV 3XO, XUV 400, Bolero, Supro, and Jeeto, among others. His responsibilities spanned procurement, material management, vendor development, and coordination across engineering, plant, and supplier teams, ensuring seamless execution from prototype to launch phases.In recognition of his dedication and impact, Swaraj was honored as Employee of the Year in his very first year at Mahindra, along with receiving multiple awards for his contributions to the company’s growth and success. He also took on an editorial role as the Editor of Mahindra’s official newsletter, showcasing his ability to lead not only in engineering but also in organizational engagement and communication.Beyond technical development, Swaraj contributed significantly to cost optimization initiatives, delivering impactful savings for the organization while maintaining product quality and reliability. His ability to blend technical expertise with managerial acumen reflects his versatility as both an engineer and a leader.With a strong foundation in the automotive domain, Swaraj is now set to expand his horizons in the field of aerospace. In 2025, he will be joining the Technical University of Munich (TUM) to pursue a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering, furthering his journey of innovation and excellence.
