Manage projects which include new production equipment, process improvements, and new product introductions• Analyze current production processes and define KPIs to measure manufacturing performance and identify areas of improvement and opportunities for optimization using lean engineering principles• Co-ordinate with stakeholders to ensure a smooth launch, approval, and implementation of engineering change requests as required to assist operations with newly launched and existing products• Create equipment/process specifications and drawings using SolidWorks software as required and ensure that existing documentation is accurate and appropriate• Design and manage the life cycle of fixtures and gauges to improve the quality of the manufactured product and increase the throughput of the production processes• Design, develop, and test the fixtures for newly launched products and provide precise feedback to the sourcing team based on the analysis of the test conducted on the fixture• Document and continuously improve and update work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and process drawings to ensure the manufacturing process is being followed to enhance product quality and provide training to operators• Provide technical mentorship to interns and engineers and conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions• Investigate assembly issues and implement solutions by reviewing product design, process sequence plan, and builds affecting production and work during stages of new product launch, production trials, and SOP using the PDCA approach• Identify and implement solutions for issues related to manufacturing, quality, safety, and cost reductions • Perform time studies using a standard motion time system, estimate production times, costs and recognize opportunities for reduction in non-value-added time• Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot low-yield orders and find possible methods/strategies to improve the process
