The PROTECT team\'s goal is to make OneDrive and SharePoint the safest cloud for the world\'s most valuable data.🦸 DETECTION AND RESPONSE-The PROTECT team is responsible for intrusion detection and incident response across every technology used by OneDrive and SharePoint, including Windows and Linux compute, Azure Storage/SQL/Redis, Azure Key Vault, Entra, and more.Our goal is adversary resilience - enabling our business to survive an intrusion with no impact to customer data.Our detection and response tech is used across Microsoft 365 to protect customer data in every workload and shared externally to empower defenders across the security industry. RISK REDUCTION-The PROTECT team makes preventative investments that reduce the impact or likelihood of an intrusion, such as BitLocker, Defender Application Control, Defender AV, host-based firewalls.NET runtime defenses, and SharePoint isolation boundary enforcement. EQUIPPING ENGINEERS-Every engineer at Microsoft is responsible for protecting the privacy, security, and compliance of our customers in their day-to-day work.The PROTECT team partners with engineers to evaluate risk and recommend improvements to better protect customer data. Our goal is for every component to meet privacy, security, and compliance requirements from day one.
