About Swadhin Pradhan

I\'m a machine learning engineering lead and research scientist with a PhD from UT Austin, currently at Cisco Meraki, where I lead the design and deployment of AI-driven systems. My recent work includes building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)-based LLM assistants, developing custom domain specific LLM from scratch, and engineering scalable data platforms that drive product adoption. With a strong foundation in wireless sensing, machine learning, and statistical modeling, I thrive at the intersection of innovation and implementation, to make AI useful at scale.With over a decade of experience, my career has spanned ubiquitous sensing, mobile computing, and IoT-based system design. I hold an M.S. from IIT Kharagpur and a Bachelor\'s from Jadavpur University, with research published in top-tier venues like MobiCom, CHI, UbiComp, Sensys, and INFOCOM, and two U.S. patents to my name. My work has been featured in outlets such as the BBC, MIT Technology Review, and The Guardian. Outside the world of ML, I explore filmmaking, poetry, and visual arts—always seeking new ways to express and connect.
