ABOUT STEFFEN WOLF
I was born in the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) close to the Polish border. While growing up, I became a citizen of the reunited Germany. An emotional moment in history that I will never forget.It opened the doors to many things afterwards, e.g. being able to undertake a university degree at Lincoln University in the UK.During my time abroad I discovered my passion for travel and the opportunity it brings to get to know new people, countries and cultures. Having attended football games on 5 continents I cannot deny I have a passion for football too.Since 2007 I work for Synthomer in the chemical industry. I love the variety which my role in a company like Synthomer brings. Having started my professional career as a Business Controller, I moved on to work as Assistant in Management Systems and today be working in the Business Analytics sphere as SAP Team Lead BPC, BW & BI.The cross functional and multicultural experiences I made during this journey have allowed me grow personally as well as professionally.Some of my key tasks and achievements on that journey in the different functions are:Controlling- Monthly reports on margins and costs for business unit management and Group Finance Director- Involvement in several projects e.g. on product line management and the implementation of Cashforecast for Synthomer EuropeManagement System- Project Lead for the implementation of a global IT tool for sales, production and logistics forecasting- Support on implementation and improvement of management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO including self-dependent execution of internal audits in region EMEA, e.g. at Egyptian site- Assistance on the creation of a global management handbookBusiness Analytics- Support a BW/4HANA green field implementation- Design data models and reports aggregating transactional data from across different SAP systems overcoming master data issues- Work on ring-fencing ERP datasets to fulfil legal requirements related to acquisitions or divestments
