As a senior director of a $300M+ game software developer, I lead a team that supports senior leadership across three pillars:(1) Enterprise data analytics: Collaborating with partner data teams to deliver enterprise analytical systems, data strategy and data governance (2) Financial planning and systems: Preparing business cases, financial plans and information systems to support FP & A for new games and strategic initiatives (3) Market intelligence: Disseminating industry intelligence throughout the company, conducting market research and preparing discussion materials on strategic topics MAJOR PROJECTS:(i) Design and implement an enterprise reporting and analytics portal, a centralized source of enterprise analytics.(ii) Led selection and implementation of Workday Adaptive financial planning system, reducing license fee by over three years and improving labour productivity by 60 hours a month in a team of Leading data strategy initiative, resulting in development of data governance playbook, establishment of a data governance council and improved communication and collaboration across the five data teams.(iv) Designed and led development of a staff planning system, eliminating 80 hours monthly of data input and management work and allowing discontinuation of an under-utilized software costing annually (v) Designed data system to calculate revenue recognition as per IFRS requirements, automating the process and facilitating calculations not humanly possible. The system passes the annual scrutiny of financial and IT auditors.(vi) Designed a revenue forecasting model that applies statistical modeling to expedite preparation and turnaround time, allowing for improved objectivity, reliability, and facilitating increased scale and cadence of forecasting and scenarios.
