My personal guidelines: As a lawyer, I need to understand the business and develop practical solutions. I am thinking not only in a legal way, but also strategically and politically - and always a few steps ahead. The world is complicated enough, and the business cannot wait. The ways to the target need to be as simple as possible. Beaten tracks qualify perfectly for the solution of standard matters. The solution of extraordinary or unusual problems, however, require creativity: think outside the box! It is not ideas which change the world, but people. Anyone who understands what motivates the people involved, holds an important key to success.
