My initial career path led me to Field Archaeology, where I developed strong analytical skills through investigative research. These skills are directly applicable to cybersecurity, and I successfully transitioned to technical SEO by applying my meticulous attention to detail. In this role, I optimized websites, demonstrably increasing their organic traffic.However, my professional goals lie in cybersecurity. I am particularly interested in the exciting world of network analysis using digital tools and the challenges of integrating Zero Trust principles into existing security frameworks.To formally enter this field, I completed a rigorous remote cybersecurity bootcamp with Springboard and earned the CompTIA Security+ certification. This program provided a strong foundation in the core concepts and technologies of cybersecurity.Further demonstrating my commitment, I joined Metasecurity Solutions, a startup, where I played a key role in establishing their core security program. While budget limitations led them to focus on the EU market, this experience was invaluable. I gained firsthand knowledge of building security strategies in resource-constrained environments. I wish them continued success in securing small businesses in the EU.Driven by a strong desire to contribute to mitigating digital risks, especially in hybrid cloud environments, I am eager to leverage my knowledge of security tools, policies, and risk identification. My experiences have also fostered effective communication skills, allowing me to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences. I am enthusiastic about applying my skills – whether conducting security assessments, implementing procedures, or communicating strategies – to make a significant impact in the ever-changing field of cybersecurity.
