Stefano Variano is an international advisor and chartered accountant with more than 20 years’ professional experience.After a 3 year experience in leading consulting firm, Stefano entered the field of Transaction Support in 2003 working on a number of due diligence assignments and assisting clients (private equity companies and strategic buyers) with the acquisition/disposal of groups/companies/assets across a wide range of business sectors.Following six years stint in the Transaction Support Department of Mazars in Milan, Stefano became a Mazars Manager in 2009 and Partner in 2012.From July 2015 he is partner of BDO International.Stefano graduated with a Bachelors degree in Economics from Università Degli Studi of Bologna. He holds an Master in Finance from Bocconi University of Milan. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Dottore Commercialista) and a Registered Auditor (Revisore Legale dei Conti).Stefano‘s competencies relate to corporate finance, buy-side M&A and due diligence, debt restructuring/refinancing and sell-side/disposal processes, company evaluation.Stefano has a significant experience in various sectors, including: banking, insurance, services and industrial products.
