ABOUT SUZANNE VAN HUIJGEVOORT

Working to protect what I love Sustainability / ESG and human rights expert with focus on climate, human rights due diligence, animal welfare, and the just transition. -Suzanne van Huijgevoort is an Associate Partner in Dalberg Advisors‘ London office. She advises global corporations, investors, international organizations, and philanthropic actors on responsible business strategy, ESG integration, and sustainable and inclusive value chains. Her work spans sectors and themes such as food systems, climate and environment, human rights due diligence, animal welfare and the just transition.She is passionate about the role businesses can play in advancing social and environmental impact and has supported numerous corporations and public sector organizations in identifying and addressing human rights risks, forming cross-sector partnerships, and unlocking new opportunities across complex global supply chains.Prior to Dalberg, Suzanne led consulting teams in New York City and London at LRQA, where she advised institutional investors and Fortune 500 companies on ESG strategy and supply chain risk management. Shel oversaw the development and publication of various Human Rights Impact Assessments with global retailers, developed industry-leading responsible sourcing programs and advised Fortune 500 companies on sustainability strategy design, double materiality assessments and organizational change management. She also worked in Cambodia with Cordaid International, leading programs on agricultural value chains, land rights, and financial inclusion, and at CSR Netherlands, where she helped develop one of the first publicly available tools for ESG risk analysis in supply chains.Suzanne holds a joint Master of Arts from the University of Freiburg and the University of Cape Town, and a dual bachelor’s degree from Utrecht University. She is fluent in English and Dutch and has lived and worked across Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America. In 2023, she was named a fellow of the 92NY Women in Power leadership program in New York.Views are my own.
