About Suzanne Jarvis

From Corporate to Entrepreneur to Non-Profit : In 1980 I started to experience numbness in my body. I had trouble lifting my foot, holding onto a pencil and was losing feeling in my face. Hospitalized for a week of tests revealed no physical cause. Medicine couldn\'t help me. I had to find a solution. So, I sought holistic wellness programs. At that time complimentary health approaches were limited. I changed my diet, exercised and worked with personal development techniques. My health was restored. I learned so much, I left Corporate IT and embarked on an international career delivering seminars and coaching services in stress management, wellness and spiritual development. Ultimately, I gained expertise working with addictions holistically which brought me to the non-profit sector delivering recovery and re-entry programs for incarcerated women in an addiction treatment facility. Now I work in the field of population health management designing community-based programs that support and track the progress of addiction recovery primarily for underserved populations. Those efforts include local, state, and national collaboration in recovery advocacy for policies that support recovery services and resources. I also participate in coalitions to improve health equity, launch new payment systems, and support communities seeking solutions for problematic substance use. My professional development combines strong systems, analytic, and strategic thinking skills with entrepreneurial initiative driven by my love for people and transformation to improve the health and welfare of communities.\"The views and opinions expressed on my personal LinkedIn account do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of any other agency, organization, employer or company.”
