Requires a unique skill set to bring umpires from all walks of life, countries and backgrounds and establish a team with unified standards and expectations for success of the game and for the success of every individual performance. Careful evaluation, picking the right feedback and timing and utilizing listening & communication skills to reach common understanding are all part of being an umpire manager. Facilitating the success of others brings me joy.
