About Suzanne Teer

Clients tell me I am true partner. They know I care as much about the success of our engagement and their new leader as they do. They can count on me to be responsive and available when they need me, to provide my best counsel, and to be right by their side through thick and thin. I spent 23 years as a fundraiser in higher education before becoming a consultant. The transformative experience I had in college inspired my career in higher education. I had a few incredible professors and experiences that helped me see myself in a new way, creating new possibilities I had not seen before. For me, higher education is all about promise and possibility. I appreciate beauty – the natural world, art, and flowers – which drew me to New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment. I have begun experimenting with floral design and on any given day you can find several of my creations (sometimes up to eight or nine!) throughout my home. I also love reading, especially a good memoir about interesting women. Jill Ker Conway’s True North and Katherine Graham’s Personal History are two of my all-time favorites. I welcome you to share yours – I am always looking for recommendations!
