ABOUT SUZANNE RIGDEN

Coloratura Soprano, Suzanne Rigden is becoming well-known for her \"remarkable gift for stratospheric coloratura\" and her wonderful stage presence. 2015: Adele in (Die Fledermaus) with Vancouver Opera and a tour of China in March 20••••14 has been exciting season with role debuts of Zerbinetta in (Ariadne auf Naxos) with Pacific Opera Victoria, Scenes concert of (Lakmé) and (Mignon) with Opera Nova Scotia, Zerlina in (Don Giovanni) with the Opera Nova Scotia, Cover of Elvira in Italian Girl in Algiers with Opera Company of Middlebury, Adele in (Die Fledermaus) with Maritime Concert Opera. She also participated in the Academie de musique française de Michel Plasson in July, and has most recently won second prize, audience prize and an audition at the Regio di Torino with Spazio Musica in Orvieto, Italy. Suzanne is currently in Verona, Italy where she will sing the semi final round of the Maria Callas Competition on July 31st. A graduate of the Atelier Lyrique de L\'Opéra de Montréal, where she performed Sophie (Werther) and other roles (see below). With Merola Opera Centre in San Francisco Suzanne performed Lady with a Hand Mirror from (Postard from Morocco) and Rosina in (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) in 2011, 2012. Her credits include Frasquita in (Carmen) Blondchen from (Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail). In 2013 Suzanne performed Asprano in (Motezuma) with Ensemble Caprice in the Montreal Baroque Festival, Debut Recital with Dartmouth Community Concert Series and Queen of the Night in (Magic Flute) Opéra Festival de Saint Eustache. Previous credits include Tytania (Midsummer Nights Dream) Marie (La fille du Régiment) Morgana (Alcina), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel), Countess Tatiana Blavenskeya (Dream Healer), Sandman (Hansel and Gretel), Don Ettore (La canterina) Ingivildur and Puffin (Vinland Traveler) and Princesse, Chatte, Rossignol, Feu and Rainette (L\'enfant et les sortilèges).
