ABOUT SUZANNE RICKLIN

As a psychotherapist for over 25 years, I work with children (9-12), adolescents, adults, couples and families dealing with a wide range of personal, life transition and mental health issues. I view therapy as an opportunity for clients to engage in personal growth work, clarify goals and intentions, reduce stress and better understand themselves and their relationships with others. Clients can gain invaluable awareness of their \"Achilles Heels\" and other non-constructive behavior patterns interfering with their general sense of well being, happiness and relationship success.Entering therapy is a big decision. My professional training is extensive, integrating both traditional (CBT, DBT, Rogerian, psychodynamic, IFS, ACT) and less traditional techniques (meditation, relaxation breathing, visualization and Eriksonian Self-Hypnosis). My style is casual, interactive and collaborative. I genuinely attempt to meet the unique needs of each client, to address their personal problems and ultimately achieve their goals. In December of 2009, I published Core Set, Volume 1 (1st in a 6 set series) of In Vision Concept Cards, an interactive, visual learning tool that I developed over the past 25 years for my therapy clients. The cards pair visual and auditory cues for enhanced memory and retention of important life skills and universal themes. The cards are appropriate for children (9-12) adolescents and adults.Useful for psychotherapists, educators, life coaches.and parents, each card back contains guidelines for teaching the concept presented on the card front. For more information, go to: Specialties: I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders. In 1995, I became a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp). In 2007, I became an iaedp Approved Supervisor, one of a limited number of professional in the United States to earn that distinction.
