About Suzanne Tomatore
I am a human rights attorney with over two decades of experience advancing justice for immigrants, refugees, survivors of trafficking, and low-wage workers. I’ve led legal and policy advocacy at the intersection of immigration, labor rights, and child welfare—working with nonprofit partners, government agencies, and international stakeholders. My work has included developing national legal frameworks to protect immigrant children, building multilingual legal education campaigns, and leading coalitions to improve anti-trafficking protections. Currently, I serve as Senior Director at KIND, where I direct the Labor Exploitation Prevention Programs.I’m passionate about creating trauma-informed, survivor-centered systems, mentoring the next generation of advocates, and shaping policy that promotes dignity and equity.I am also deeply committed to improving my community. I served as vice president of a local organization that raised over in the last decade to benefit the arts, history, and community-based organizations in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York.
