ABOUT SUZANNE JOHNSEN
I’m a structural engineer with a deep passion for heritage and conservation. Every building tells a story, and I love uncovering how it works—whether it’s an unlisted barn, a country house, or an industrial railway bridge. My goal is always to respect the original fabric, minimize interventions, and find practical solutions that serve both the structure and the client.Currently part of Curtins’ National Conservation and Heritage team, I also support training and knowledge-sharing within this specialism. My experience spans projects of all scales, blending heritage with new commercial and educational developments. I’m particularly fascinated by industrial heritage—the everyday structures that shaped our history.Curiosity drives me forward.
