From April 25 and on completion of the programme delivery of Bus Franchising, I moved in a Fleet Project Management BAU role. Which involves co-ordinating the deliveries of new vehicles with bus manufacturers, ensuring ITS equipment is installed and working with the operators to introduce new vehicles into the fleet. Senior PMO Analyst supporting the Bus Franchising Programme. Buses have now been brought under local control and will be run by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), on behalf of Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), in the biggest change to public transport in the city-region in over 40 years.Key accountabilities involve: • Introducing and managing the Programme Change Control process and weekly change board. • Managing the Programme risk and issue log and produce monthly MI to Programme Managers• Managing MSP plans with dedicated workstreams such as Information Systems, Fares & Ticketing.• Main point of contact for TfGM assurance team to ensure programme governance is adhering to wider organisational polices and processes. • Supporting weekly calls with bus manufacturers to track new vehicle orders. • Supporting and Quality Assuring Status Reporting.• Supporting Board packs & meetings.Generally getting involved in every aspect of the programme, a hands on PMO role at times which is very varied from new IT systems, customer contact centre changes, new staff uniforms and testing of the new on bus radio equipment ensuring 100% functionality before roll out.
