As PMO Manager within the Smart Grid Operations team at ScottishPower Energy Networks (SPEN), I lead the governance, performance, financial oversight and delivery assurance of a complex portfolio supporting the operation and evolution of critical energy infrastructure across both transmission and distribution networks.My remit spans contract management, cyber compliance, regulatory delivery, finance, risk and portfolio performance, with accountability for approximately £70m annual TOTEX expenditure delivered through a disaggregated delivery model with multiple strategic delivery partners and significant commercial contracts in place.Working across telecoms, real-time systems and operational technology (OT) infrastructure, my role bridges strategy and execution — ensuring programmes are aligned to RIIO regulatory frameworks, operational resilience objectives and the wider energy transition agenda.I work closely with technical, operational, commercial and leadership teams to drive transparency, assurance and performance across complex programmes, enabling the safe, secure and efficient delivery of critical capabilities within an increasingly digital and data-driven energy network.My focus is on creating governance and portfolio management approaches that enable delivery at pace while maintaining strong control, risk management and regulatory alignment — supporting SPEN’s transition to a smarter, more resilient and sustainable grid.
