ABOUT SUZANNAH HERRMANN TOBIN
I am an education consultant. My work focuses on making education organizations better for learning, especially with helping adult learners connect their education to their work experiences. Building off a doctorate from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Education Organization and Policy Studies as well as a professional certificate in Leadership in Human Resources Management from the University of Virginia, much of my career has been working as a researcher, program evaluator, teacher, and manager as well as leader across a variety of settings: not-for-profit, policymaking, PK-12 schools as well as post-secondary education. The content of my work falls into three areas: 1) adult education and career pathways, 2) family literacy and early childhood education, and 3) K-12 school change and improvement. In the past few years with PVCC@TJACE, Speak! and WorldStrides, my current roles have allowed me to design and deliver tailored curriculum focused on adult education and learning and career pathways. My journey is marked by a commitment to helping adult learners across an array of different educational settings.
