ABOUT SUZANNA DE BACA

Suzanna de Baca is a CEO, board director, advisor and educator whose career spans Fortune 250, privately held and family-owned businesses across finance, media and health care. She brings deep expertise in leadership, strategy, governance, organizational change and strategic communications. Her journey began in the corporate world in investment management at firms like Neuberger Berman, Bank of America, Ameriprise Financial and Weiss, Peck & Greer, where she held executive roles focused on strategy, growth, and client success. She later served as CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, leading the organization through significant change. As CEO of Business Publications Corporation, she drove digital advancement and innovation, earning the company national recognition as a “Top Ten Publisher to Watch” three times by Editor & Publisher.Today, Suzanna is CEO of Story Board Advisors, where she works with CEOs and boards to define vision, navigate complex transitions, and build sustainable legacies. Her clients include established companies focused on leadership development or succession and founder-led businesses and nonprofits seeking alignment and growth.An active board director, she serves on corporate boards including Bill Jacobs Companies, Community State Bank, and Lauridsen Group, Inc, as well as the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Heartland Chapter and numerous nonprofits. She is NACD Directorship Certified (NACD.DC) and an ICF-accredited coach (ACC).Suzanna has been published or featured in numerous media outlets including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Time, The CEO Magazine, Directorship Magazine, and the Business Record, among others.
