1. Pro Bono Counsel

   DLA Piper

   I serve as Pro Bono Counsel at DLA Piper, where I help to build the firm’s North America and global pro bono impact. In my domestic work, I oversee and develop the pro bono practice in the firm’s three Northern California, two Los Angeles, and Baltimore offices. I have also worked with the firm’s Washington, Boston, Philadelphia, Northern Virginia, and Wilmington offices. In my own practice, I have represented asylum seekers and detained immigrants, worked on impact litigation, managed large-scale criminal justice projects, and assisted death row inmates on a variety of issues. I also serve as International Pro Bono Counsel, working with New Perimeter, DLA Piper’s non-profit affiliate focused on global pro bono aimed at enhancing access to justice, building sound legal institutions, and promoting social and economic development. I have led and participated in worldwide efforts, including training lawyers, law students, and other stakeholders in Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean, to build capacity and promote the rule of law. I manage cross-office and cross-jurisdiction research projects for international NGOs, develop curriculum for international NGOs focused on legal education and access to justice, and teach lawyers and law students around the world.http://newperimeter.org/
