ABOUT SUZANNA FOX

Suzanna Fox, MD, is the Enterprise Service Line Leader for Women’s Health and Enterprise Deputy Chief Physician for Atrium Health. As the Enterprise Service Line Leader for Women’s Health she provides clinical strategy, operations oversight, as well as clinical care delivery leadership across the Women’s Care Service Line throughout the Atrium Health footprint. In addition, she partners with the Enterprise and Regional OB/GYN Academic Chair to promote education and research goals to advance our preeminent academic learning healthcare mission. An advocate for her fellow OB/GYN professionals, she is committed to leading world class care for women. With over 25 years of leadership experience in OB/GYN practice, she helps to set the standard for quality OB/GYN care within the organization and champions the strategic vision for Women’s Services – including ambulatory and subspecialties across the Atrium Health Enterprise. As Enterprise Deputy Chief Physician Executive she supports the Enterprise Chief Physician Executive, Scott Rissmiller, MD. In this capacity she partners with the Divisions of Surgery, Primary Care, and Adult Medical specialties to assist with operations oversight and execution. She also serves as the Executive physician sponsor of the Emerging Care Model Division, Global Health Care Services, and Atrium Health’s Hospital at Home program. In addition to these responsibilities, she serves on multiple committees and councils including: Chair of the Physician Compensation Committee, Chair of the Best Place to Care Committee, the Enterprise Strategic Council, and Health Equity and Social Impact Leadership Council. Dr. Fox is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia (Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society) and the University of Georgia (Cum Laude/Resident Assistant). She completed her residency in OB/GYN at Carolinas Healthcare System – now Atrium Health – serving as Chief Resident. Her husband of 29 years, Robert Wicker, is a physician at Charlotte OB/GYN and they have three sons who are their pride and joy.
