About Sutanay Choudhury
As the Chief Scientist of Data Science and the Deputy Director of the Computational and Theoretical Chemistry Institute at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), I have more than a decade\'s experience in developing and applying cutting-edge technologies that extract insights from data to address complex scientific and societal challenges. My mission is to advance the frontiers of artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, and graph databases, and to leverage them for enhancing cyber security, health care, and energy systems. I have led and contributed to multiple interdisciplinary projects that have resulted in novel methods, tools, and frameworks for analyzing, modeling, and generating data in various domains, such as cyber defense, precision medicine, generative AI, and streaming graphs. My work has been recognized with prestigious awards, such as the R&D 100 Award and the DHS Transition-to-Practice Program, and published in top-tier venues. I am passionate about creating programs that learn from experience and communicate their knowledge to human users, and about collaborating with diverse teams of researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders.
